Mexico 2011

This past June I had a wonderful time teaching workshops in Mexico; first in Mexico City & then in Monterrey. It was a crazy two weeks of 7 days of workshops; definitely one of the most challenging things I have ever done in my life. I’d like to thank every single person who was a part of this experience – the attendees, the models, Max Lopatin (Visual Impels) for making the amazing recap below, and for Pamela Barron Cobo for organizing the events. The images here are the ones I shot with the attendees at the workshop.

Katy & JuanManuel : Monterrey, Mexico

I photographed this wedding in Monterrey, Mexico during my trip to Mexico this June.  One of the workshops I was teaching included an opportunity for 5 students to come along with me to a real wedding, observe how I photograph, and ask questions as the day went on.  We actually videotaped the “behind the scenes” footage from the day, which will be on my tutorial DVD this fall.  Oh, and did I mention – it was 108F degrees that day.  Definitely the hottest wedding I have ever shot :)
