This past June I had a wonderful time teaching workshops in Mexico; first in Mexico City & then in Monterrey. It was a crazy two weeks of 7 days of workshops; definitely one of the most challenging things I have ever done in my life. I’d like to thank every single person who was a part of this experience – the attendees, the models, Max Lopatin (Visual Impels) for making the amazing recap below, and for Pamela Barron Cobo for organizing the events. The images here are the ones I shot with the attendees at the workshop.

Alright boys and girls, I’m super excited to announce this Mexico City Workshop, coordinated by Pamela Cobo. Although I’m teaching three workshops there, June 16-17 will be the only one Americans will be allowed to (we won’t have a translator for this one). Spaces are limited of course, so if you think you want to join, please contact Pamela asap at workshop@pamelabarroncobo.com. She’ll take care of you well.

$290 includes only the workshop; travel and lodging fees is something the photographers will have to take care of on their own. Pamela has all the info on which flights to take, where to lodge & eat, where to have fun, etc; you won’t be lost, promise

If you’re wondering what I’ll be covering at the workshop, and whether you should come, here’s some info that might be useful:
1. If you don’t know what aperture, shutter, and ISO are, then you’re definitely not ready. Of course you still have some time to learn that until the workshop.
2. Ideally, you should be a people/wedding photographer with some sort of website and a desire to learn. This isn’t the requirement, but the type of people I am expecting.
3. The workshop will basically cover in depth my philosophy and approach to photography. I’ll show you exactly what I do to make my images look the way they do. Equipment, light, posing – all that will be covered.
4. Photoshop won’t be covered in depth, because there is simply too much information there. I plan by June to produce a DVD that will probably end up being around 8 hours long, and will cover all the fine details of my editing. It’ll be reasonably priced, and you can purchase it in the summer.

Well I think that’s all for now. If you have questions, feel free to ask me or Pamela.

Hope to see you there!

Very excited to announce a 3 day photography workshop Victor Herrera and I will be hosting in Cancun, Mexico for advanced level photographers. A variety of subjects will be discussed, all of which help to answer the question of “How do I create an amazing image”?. Equipment, lighting, composition, interacting with couples, and photoshop are just a few of the subjects we will cover (for more detailed information on the topics taught, please email us). We will also spend lots of time out shooting in the beautiful beaches & amazing caves; even an under water session is included!!!. It’s a full 3 day workshop so we’ll have LOTS of time to learn; this will allow us to create amazing images together from scratch so that you can participate in every step of the process. This will be beyond awesome!

The cost of the 3 day workshop is $380, which includes stay at the hotel, food, and a good time learning photography with others

Key notes: (1) Because we are getting such an amazing deal on room + food, there’s a small catch – you will be sharing a room with one other photographer (2 ppl per room). If you are very opposed to sharing a room, email us. (2) On Friday we will be going to the “Cenotes” (google it). The cost to enter the Cenotes is $50 which is not covered by us, and will be an extra expense for you. The Cenotes are 90 minutes away, and the transportation will also not be covered (transportation cost will be no more than $50)

Please email us for any questions
