Anastasia Marie Cards

posted in Other | 4 Comments »

In order to make sense of this shoot, let me tell you the back story. Earlier this year I stumbled upon a blog called “Anastasia Marie Handcrafted Cards” and was completely blown away by what I saw – various cards & stationery (thank you card, wedding invitations, etc), made completely from scratch & by hand, designed with such great taste. Minutes later I realized that the artist behind these cards is Stacey, whose wedding I shot months earlier. (Here’s an image of Stacey from her wedding, which has been one of my favorites from the summer of 2009):

After looking at her work a bit more, I knew she had amazing potential, but I felt like the blog & brand she had was not up to par with her work. And so, I offered to help, and for the last 4 months, we’ve been working together to create a brand that will impress as much as her cards do. Last week we launched her new website and blog; (find them by going to anastasiamariecards.com)

And so, as part of the launch, we’ve gotten a ton of friends together for this promo shoot. Many thanks to all who has been involved:
Styling: Kae Yelchaninov
Models: Yuriy Manchik and soon to be Julia Manchik, Marina Gad, Eva Gurmeza, Bogdan Natkha, and Kerry Rowe
Makeup: Annabelle Petry
And all others for the help: Eleanor Petry, Yana Krikov, Sasha Leahovcenco, Max Lopatin, Galina Yelchaninov

Well enough writing (I think this is the longest I’ve written on this blog).

Cancun Photography Workshop

Very excited to announce a 3 day photography workshop Victor Herrera and I will be hosting in Cancun, Mexico for advanced level photographers.  A variety of subjects will be discussed, all of which help to answer the question of “How do I create an amazing image”?.  Equipment, lighting, composition, interacting with couples, and photoshop are just a few of the subjects we will cover (for more detailed information on the topics taught, please email us).  We will also spend lots of time out shooting in the beautiful beaches & amazing caves; even an under water session is included!!!.  It’s a full 3 day workshop so we’ll have LOTS of time to learn; this will allow us to create amazing images together from scratch so that you can participate in every step of the process.  This will be beyond awesome!

The cost of the 3 day workshop is $380, which includes stay at the hotel, food, and a good time learning photography with others :)

Key notes: (1) Because we are getting such an amazing deal on room + food, there’s a small catch – you will be sharing a room with one other photographer (2 ppl per room). If you are very opposed to sharing a room, email us.  (2) On Friday we will be going to the “Cenotes” (google it).  The cost to enter the Cenotes is $50 which is not covered by us, and will be an extra expense for you.  The Cenotes are 90 minutes away, and the transportation will also not be covered (transportation cost will be no more than $50)

Please email us for any questions
