In 2009 I have had many people ask whether I would help them learn photography, and I’ve received numerous emails asking about my techniques and approaches. Well finally I’ve decided to organize a workshop of my own where I would share my photography “secrets” with those that wish to learn.
Since I already have several sign ups, and the space is very limited, only a few spots are left. So if you think this is for you, contact me asap (price is shared upon contact)
Alright, well here’s a bunch of information about the workshop:
-It will take place on January 30th
-It is an all-day workshop. Expect to start in the morning and be done late evening
-It will take place in the Seattle area
-You don’t need to have a camera, but it will be nice if for you to take one since we’ll be shooting around Seattle and you wouldn’t want to feel left out
Here’s a short description of the topics we’ll be covering:
-PHILOSOPHY OF BEAUTY, ART, AND PHOTOGRAPHY: What makes photographs beautiful? Is photography a science or an art? Is it both? Is there a formula for great photographs? Do you have to be “gifted” in photography, or is it something you can learn? Is Beauty objective or subjective? Is there such a thing is an “ugly” picture (as one student once asked me), or is it a matter of opinion?
-TECHINCALITIES OF PHOTOGRAPHY AND CAMERAS: How photography and cameras actually work. Which cameras and lenses are best; which ones produce best quality? How to get amazing pictures without buying the most expensive cameras and lenses?
-BUSINESS: How to make money in photography? How to avoid the pitfalls most photographers make? Basics on branding and marketing.
-PHOTOGRAPHY OF PEOPLE: I will explain my approach to photographing people while we have a photo shoot with our model. Here’s where you can grab your camera and shoot along with me.
-PHOTOSHOP: Here we’ll go through my editing process. I’ll talk about my tricks and give tips on the best editing techniques.
Well enough said! Sign up if you’re interested. I’m no graphic designer, but here’s a little “poster”
